STEM Society
STEM Society is a club for students in Years 7–12 who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Led by our The University of Queensland Science Ambassadors in Years 11 and 12, the club works to promote STEM across FVSSC through engaging events, workshops, activities, and programs.
Students involved in STEM Society have opportunities to explore new areas of STEM, support school initiatives, connect with like-minded students, and receive guidance when applying for STEM-related programs and opportunities.
Whether you already love STEM or are simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome to get involved. Students interested in joining can contact Mr Lopez for more information.
Robotics
Our Robotics program is an extracurricular club open to students in Years 7–12 who are interested in technology, innovation, and problem-solving. Meeting once each week, students work collaboratively to design, build, and program robots while preparing for competitions and challenges.
From 2022–2026, our Robotics teams have competed in the FIRST Lego League Robotics Competition, developing teamwork, critical thinking, and STEM skills along the way.
Students should keep an eye on Compass for updates, news, and upcoming Robotics opportunities.
